Find a Trusted UK Financial Advisor

Tell us a little about your situation and we'll introduce you to an FCA-regulated financial advisor whose specialism, location and minimum portfolio match your needs. The introduction and first consultation are completely free.

How the matching service works

Trusted Advisor is an introducer service connecting UK clients with independently FCA-regulated financial advisors. We screen every advisor for qualifications, regulatory standing and verified client reviews before listing them. Once you complete the short questionnaire we hand-match you to one or more advisors whose specialism (retirement planning, inheritance tax, mortgage advice, high earner tax planning, business owner planning) and minimum portfolio fit your situation. You then choose whether to book a free initial call.

We never charge you for the match or the first conversation. Advisors set out their own fees in writing before any work begins, in line with FCA rules.

Frequently asked questions

How does Trusted Advisor match me with a financial advisor?

You answer a short questionnaire about your goals, the value of your savings and pensions, and where you live. We then introduce you to an FCA-regulated advisor whose specialism, location and minimum portfolio match your situation. You can review the advisor's profile, qualifications and verified client reviews before you decide to talk.

Is the introduction free?

Yes. There is no charge to be matched with an advisor or to attend the initial consultation. Advisors only charge if you decide to engage them for ongoing advice, and any fees are agreed in writing with the advisor before any work begins.

Are the advisors FCA-regulated?

Every advisor on Trusted Advisor is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) — either directly or through their firm. Each profile shows the firm name and FCA reference number so you can verify their authorisation on the FCA Register before engaging.

How much do I need to invest to use a financial advisor?

Most independent UK financial advisors set a minimum investable portfolio of around £100,000–£250,000, but several advisors on Trusted Advisor work with clients holding less. We match you to an advisor whose minimum suits the value of your savings, pensions and investments (excluding your main home).

How long does it take to be introduced?

Most clients are matched within one working day. We will email you the advisor's profile and a link to book a free initial call directly in their calendar.

What should I prepare before the first call?

A rough picture of your pensions, investments, property and outstanding debt is enough. The first call is a fact-finding conversation — there is no obligation to share documents or commit to any service.
